The Magic Needle studio in Canberra, Australia is a place to chill out with new friends, get creative, and express yourself.

Sewing is much easier than you might think and can give you the opportunity to create so many different things. If you've always loved craft kits, sewing will give you the chance to make things your own unique way. Don't follow the crowd any more!

There's nothing like the satisfaction of creating projects with your own personal design stamp on them. Here at The Magic Needle studio, you can learn the skills you need to express yourself through a variety of modern and imaginative projects. From hand stitching to machine use, pattern reading to fabric design, workshops cover a range of activities and skills to keep things interesting.

There are so many reasons to express ourselves creatively - developing our confidence and inventiveness and problem solving skills, and finding out where our talents and strengths lie. The aim of the workshops is to encourage originality and creativity in a safe space where new ideas are welcomed. Classes are designed to inspire kids aged 7 to 13 and there is no need for any previous experience. Class numbers are kept small so that students get plenty of attention and lots of opportunity to ask for help.
